This project focuses on developing techniques for ultrafast optical control of magnetism at the nanoscale. By investigating the nonthermal effects of light on magnetic order, it aims to enhance data storage and processing speeds through advanced laser manipulation methods.
The aim of the project is to develop femtosecond optical control of magnetism: a new area at the junction of coherent nonlinear optics, near-field optics and magnetism.
