Fed4IoT addresses interoperability challenges in smart city applications by federating Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud infrastructures. The project focuses on creating scalable solutions that integrate various devices and platforms to enhance collaboration and reduce costs for stakeholders.
Smart city applications require pervasive and large-scale infrastructures, which include heterogeneous IoT devices and distributed information systems, thus posing interoperability and cost challenges.
