FAROS focuses on enhancing surgical robotics by integrating physical intelligence to improve functional accuracy in procedures. The project aims to develop autonomous robotic behaviors that mimic surgeons, utilizing advanced sensors and reinforcement learning to optimize surgical performance in spine surgeries.
FAROS aims at improving functional accuracy through embedding physical intelligence in surgical robotics. A key motivation for introducing robots in operating rooms has been their ability to deliver superhuman performance.
