The FALCO project investigates the long-term effects of music therapy on individuals with substance use disorders. By conducting a randomized clinical trial, it aims to determine how music interventions can enhance recovery and improve health outcomes in diverse populations across Europe.
Objectives and ambition:
Substance use disorder (SUD) is associated with a high global burden of disease, with 5.4% of all disability-adjusted life years lost due to alcohol and illicit drugs.
Highly prevalent multimorbidity includes polysubstance use, mental health conditions, and other non-communicable and infectious diseases.
