The ExTaSea project addresses uncertainties in sea-level rise projections by analyzing geological data and developing statistical models. It aims to quantify the risks of extreme sea levels and provide policy-relevant scenarios that consider the dynamic responses of ice sheets to climate change.
Sea-level rise is a major societal concern, with potential impacts on population, infrastructure and coastal environments.
