The project EXPAT investigates how expectation and attention influence the way the human brain processes visual information. By examining neural encoding in the visual cortex, it aims to uncover the mechanisms that shape our visual experiences through advanced imaging techniques and computational models.
Our behaviours and conscious experiences are profoundly shaped by what we see.
Therefore, it is not surprising that unravelling the neural mechanisms of vision ranks among the top priorities of neuroscience.
