This project focuses on understanding sodium/proton exchangers, a family of transporters critical for cell function and disease. It aims to elucidate their structure and regulation to inform future drug design targeting these transporters.
Solute Carrier (SLC) transporters mediate the translocation of substrates across membranes and after GPCRs represent the second-largest fraction of the human membrane proteome.
