Melanoma is the deadliest of the skin cancers.
Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI), which are blocking antibodies that help to restore antitumor immunity, are currently used for the treatment of metastatic melanoma.
However, only approximately 20% of the patients respond to ICI.
