This project focuses on creating a robust infrastructure to connect European astronomical facilities in Chile to enhance data access and collaboration. By integrating information technology, it aims to improve the efficiency of using these world-class observatories for optical and infrared astronomy.
The increasing cost of experimental facilities in many research fields is powering a concentration of such facilities in a few selected places, sometimes driven also by environmental conditions.The clear, steady skies without light pollution necessary to Astronomical Observatories are generally not easily found.
