EUROSION aims to create a dynamic monitoring system for soil erosion, addressing its impact on ecosystems and agriculture. The project will develop a network to collect data and create models to estimate erosion across various scales, ultimately guiding best management practices.
Erosion is a major threat to the ecosystemic services provided by soils, especially for nutrient cycling, provision of food, water purification, leading to significant on- and off-site effects that needs to be monitored, studied and prevented.
