This research project analyzes the implementation of the flexicurity strategy in Germany, Italy, and Denmark to address unemployment. By examining active and passive labor market policies, it aims to enhance social security protections and employment activation for citizens in different social security systems.
Unemployment is one of the major challenges that the world economy is facing at present.
The European Union (EU) is trying to cope with this problem by promoting the flexicurity strategy (Europe 2020:
COM(2010) 2020 final).
