This project aims to ensure a stable supply of nuclear fuel for medical isotope production by qualifying new low enriched uranium fuels for research reactors. It focuses on developing and testing various fuel types to maintain safety and efficiency in isotope production.
One of the biggest challenges for European research reactors is securing their nuclear fuel supply to ensure a sustainment of medical isotopes for Europe and the world.
