The ESFR-SIMPLE project focuses on enhancing the design of European Sodium Fast Reactors to improve safety and cost-effectiveness. It explores innovative technologies, including advanced monitoring methods and alternative materials, to ensure the reactors meet future energy needs while maintaining sustainability.
To facilitate the integration of the future nuclear reactors into the European energy system, it is necessary to demonstrate that the reactors have uncompromised safety and meet the future societal needs.
