This project explores the function of Argonaute proteins and small RNA molecules in the vertebrate germline, particularly their role in epigenetic regulation. Using zebrafish as a model, it aims to understand how these proteins contribute to chromatin stability and germ cell function across generations.
Since the discovery of RNAi small RNA molecules have been under intense study.
They have been shown to impact many different processes, ranging from development to organ function and carcinogenesis.
