EpiGuide aims to develop a blood-based monitoring tool to track epigenetic changes that contribute to drug resistance in cancer therapy. By analyzing cell-free DNA, the project seeks to identify and monitor these changes, ultimately enhancing personalized treatment strategies and improving patient outcomes.
Personalized therapy has revolutionized cancer care during the past decades, but still suffers from frequent drug resistance and relapse. A better understanding of drug resistance mechanisms and their timely tracking and prevention represent areas of urgent clinical unmet need.
