This project aims to develop a theoretical framework for integrating science into democratic governance. It focuses on synthesizing research related to scientific governance and aims to enhance public engagement and policy innovation in both Europe and North America.
It is often said that the sciences should be brought into democracy (EC 2000), but conceptual frameworks for making sense of that aspiration are surprisingly underdeveloped.
