This project aims to enhance the survival and long-term health of very preterm infants by translating medical knowledge into effective perinatal care. It involves assessing the use of evidence-based practices in maternity and neonatal units across Europe to identify factors that influence their adoption.
Context:
Very preterm infants face high risks of mortality and long-term neuro-developmental impairment.
Rates of mortality and morbidity vary by a factor greater than two between European regions.
