The EPIC project aims to create a novel endoscopic device that predicts the progression of head and neck cancers by integrating multiple imaging techniques. This technology will enable real-time monitoring and early intervention for high-risk lesions, improving patient outcomes.
Head and neck cancers (HNC), which include malignancies of the oral cavity, tonsils, nasopharynx, and larynx, are life-threatening, particularly when diagnosed in advanced stages.
Effective management requires early detection and continuous monitoring to enable earliest possible intervention of high-risk precancerous lesions.
