The ENVICAT project investigates the production of harmful toxins by cyanobacteria in lakes. It employs various scientific methods to understand the factors influencing toxin dynamics, aiming to develop predictive models for toxin concentrations in aquatic environments.
Harmful cyanobacterial blooms produce toxic secondary metabolites and have significant impacts that jeopardize ecosystems services provided by lakes.
