This project investigates the role of the endodermis in plant roots, focusing on how it regulates nutrient uptake from the soil. By developing new tools for molecular analysis, the research aims to provide insights into the mechanisms of nutrient transport and improve our understanding of plant nutrition.
In addition to maintaining homeostasis within their cells, multicellular organisms also need to control their inner, extracellular spaces between cells.
