This project studies how social experiences affect behavior in fruit flies. By examining the neural mechanisms involved, particularly focusing on the Neuropeptide F pathway, it aims to uncover how social interactions influence reward perception and behavior.
Living in a social environment requires extracting social information in a meaningful way, a process that involves the perception of socially relevant signals, representation in the brain and integration with prior experience, eventually leading to modulation of behavior.
