The ENCAPSULATE project aims to enhance the mineralization of carbon dioxide from industrial solid wastes by addressing the challenges posed by impurities in the materials. It combines waste characterization with geochemical modeling to improve CO2 stabilization and reduce environmental impacts.
Anthropogenic climate warming has led to more frequent climate extremes and pollution episodes, posing serious threats to the ecological environment and human health.
The rapid development of CO2 mineralization technology for industrial solid wastes offers a promising solution to ENCAPSULATE CO2 while stabilizing wastes.
