The project investigates magnetoelectric multiferroics for use in microelectronics, focusing on switching magnetization with electric fields. By fabricating nanoislands, the aim is to create devices that require lower voltages and improve performance in electronic applications.
Magnetoelectric (ME) multiferroics (MF) are prospective constituents for applications in micro- and nanoelectronics.
Offering the possibility to switch magnetization (M) by electric field, their utilization would improve device performances.
