This research explores the interaction of graphene with various materials to uncover new properties. It focuses on creating high-quality graphene monolayers and studying their electronic characteristics when combined with metallic clusters and rare earth elements.
Exploring the effects of the interaction of graphene with different materials is an interesting topic from a fundamental point of view and also for future applications of this new material.
The research project exposed below proposes to study newly emerging properties of graphene when it is combined with other materials.
The starting point will be to obtain high quality graphene monolayers in a way that they are as much as possible decoupled from their environment.
