The ECOPFAS project focuses on assessing the toxicity of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) alternatives in aquatic organisms. It aims to understand the environmental impact of these emerging chemicals, which are becoming global contaminants, by evaluating their genetic and developmental effects.
The group of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are thermally and chemically stable with strong hydrophobic and lipophobic properties, making them highly suitable for many applications.
