ECoLaSS focuses on developing methods and algorithms to enhance land monitoring services using data from the new Sentinel satellites. The project aims to create prototypes for improved land cover and land use products, demonstrating their applicability across various European and African regions.
The Copernicus programme, coordinated and managed by the European Commission, delivers environmental information (largely based on Earth Observation satellite data) in the form of Copernicus Services, addressing six thematic areas:
