This project investigates the role of specific proteins in the regulation of metabolism related to obesity. By using genetic models, it aims to uncover the epigenetic factors contributing to obesity and identify potential therapeutic targets for treatment, addressing a significant public health issue.
It has been estimated a threefold increase in the number of obese people in Europe since the 1980’s.
