This interdisciplinary project explores the evolution of vernacular religion in Eastern and Western Christian communities. It investigates how religious beliefs and practices have transformed over time, focusing on identity formation, religious pluralism, and the impact of modern consumer attitudes.
This interdisciplinary research project, relying on mutually complementary historical, anthropological and folklore investigations, will examine continuities and transformations in vernacular religion in the border-zone between Eastern and Western Christianity.
