E2District focuses on enhancing district heating and cooling systems through a cloud-enabled management framework. The project aims to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs by optimizing system operations and engaging users through advanced analytics and control methods.
Intelligent Energy Europe expects district heating to double its share of the European heat market by 2020 while district cooling will grow to 25%.
