This project investigates the long-term effects of early management of high blood sugar levels in pre-diabetic adults. It compares intensive treatment options, including medication and lifestyle changes, to standard lifestyle interventions to prevent complications associated with diabetes.
Background:
A significant proportion of pre-diabetics, show macro and micro vascular complications associated with hyperglycaemia.
