The e-FlyWatch project develops an innovative monitoring system to manage and control populations of the Mediterranean fruit fly and the Olive fruit fly. This system utilizes autonomous traps and data analysis to help fruit and vegetable growers minimize crop damage and reduce pesticide use.
The e-FlyWatch project addresses a major problem faced by Fruit, Vegetable & Olive (FVO) grower SMEs throughout Europe; a problem acknowledged in numerous scientific studies and in many official EU reports.
