This project aims to create a novel carbon nanotube nanowire insulated with an ultrathin layer and capable of DNA recognition. The integration of DNA with carbon nanotubes is expected to enhance the development of advanced nanobiosensors and nanoelectronic devices.
The proposed project will develop a novel programmable ultrathin insulating sheet wrapped carbon nanotube nanowire with DNA recognition ability.
The proposed work will for the first time create SWCNT insulated by ultrathin insulating layer. ssDNA recognition element will be attached to the coated/insulated SWCNT.
