DLC+VIT4IP develops a high-speed powerline communications infrastructure using Internet Protocol to support advanced applications in medium and low voltage power distribution networks. The project aims to enhance reliability and interoperability for smart electricity distribution services.
Today, there are largely no communications infrastructure deployments in European medium and low voltage power distribution networks.
Powerline communications has a large potential to enable new and intelligent applications to and from the last branch of the distribution grid.
