This project studies the co-evolution of plants and pathogens to enhance disease resistance in crops. It focuses on understanding plant immune responses and their genetic basis to improve pest regulation strategies.
During their life cycle, plants are exposed to microbes in soil and leaf surfaces that can cause disease and result in crop losses and pathogen spread.
