This project examines the impact of disruptive innovations in healthcare, such as telehealth and genetic testing, on traditional medical ethics. It aims to identify ethical challenges and propose necessary adaptations to ensure patient care and autonomy are maintained.
Several recent medical innovations do not conform with the way medicine traditionally operates, but rather blur the boundaries of medicine and/or side-line the doctor-patient relationship as an essential aspect of healthcare.
