The DigRTEpi Test project aims to create an integrated system for assessing the impact of interictal epileptic activity on the behavior and reactivity of epilepsy patients. This system will help clinicians evaluate patients' fitness to drive by providing objective data on their reaction times.
Behavior, reactivity and consciousness of epilepsy patients may be unpredictably impaired by seizures.
For one important aspect in the daily lives of epilepsy patients, driving, international and national guidelines exist.
These guidelines for the fitness to drive require worldwide a period of seizure freedom.
