The project develops DigiBreaker, a smart circuit breaker that provides real-time electricity usage data and enables remote energy management. This technology aims to enhance energy efficiency and support the integration of renewable energy into the grid.
ProblemThe integration of more renewable energy into the grid, creating highly variable, unpredictable and distributed energy production, uneven load and peak demand and transmission losses create significant challenges for utilities to effectively guarantee energy supply.
