The project investigates the role of a specific bile acid, Ba1, in regulating fat cell formation and its potential as a treatment for obesity and type 2 diabetes. By assessing Ba1 and its analogs, the goal is to develop therapeutic options for metabolic disorders linked to obesity.
Within the past three years as part of the ERC funding, we have performed extensive research to identify novel factors that might influence adipogenesis and thus control development of obesity and associated metabolic disorders.
