This project focuses on improving evaporative cooling systems for buildings by optimizing the design of heat exchangers. The new design aims to enhance cooling efficiency, making it a viable alternative to traditional air conditioning systems, particularly in Europe.
The conventional air conditioning systems are neither sustainable nor environment-friendly.
Evaporative cooling utilizes an ambient energy (latent heat of water evaporation) to perform air conditioning of buildings, and is therefore a potential replacement of existing systems.
However, evaporative cooling has several technical difficulties that impede its wide application.
