This project investigates the mechanism of dendro-somatic coupling in pyramidal neurons during anaesthesia, focusing on how this coupling influences neuronal signaling and feedback integration in the brain. It employs advanced techniques to study this phenomenon in both animal models and human cortical tissue.
The mechanism for anaesthesia has eluded neuroscience despite being used as a medical intervention for more than two centuries.
