This project studies the posterior parietal cortex in rodents to understand its role in motor planning and action observation. It employs optogenetics to investigate the neural circuits involved in these cognitive functions.
The posterior parietal cortex (PPC) mediates cognitive motor functions including motor planning and action understanding.
