This project studies the electronic properties of magnetic molecules known as polyoxometalates on surfaces. It evaluates their potential use as spin qubits, focusing on understanding the factors that affect their stability and performance in quantum computing applications.
The electronic structure of several magnetic molecules (polyoxometalates) deposited onto surfaces will be studied with tools of theoretical chemistry.
Following this parametrization, the utilitity of these systems as spin qubits will be evaluated, including a detailed consideration of decoherence processes.
