This project develops a cost-effective tool for predicting jet noise during take-off by utilizing existing and new experimental data. It focuses on understanding turbulent jet interactions with aircraft wings to create a simplified model that can be easily used by industry professionals.
This proposal addresses the aeronautical challenge associated with jet-noise modelling.
The ultimate goal is to develop, and deliver to industry, a low-cost, semi-empirical modelling tool capable of predicting the noise radiated by a propulsive jet, in an installed configuration in take-off flight conditions.
