The DAMASCO project focuses on developing new organic photovoltaic materials to enhance solar cell efficiency and longevity. It aims to design and synthesize novel electron acceptor molecules and polymers for bulk-heterojunction solar cells, leveraging the properties of perylene diimides.
Organic Photovoltaics have advantages compared to traditional inorganic solar cells, offering the prospect of low fabrication cost and flexiblility.
