The DALE project investigates consumer behavior regarding mobile data scarcity and data breach announcements. By employing theoretical models and randomized experiments, it aims to enhance consumption efficiency and develop effective strategies for mitigating the impacts of cyberattacks.
DALE addresses an urgent need to advance research on consumer behavior, namely consumers’ responses to the timing of mobile data scarcity messages and data breach announcements, using a multi-method approach composed of theoretical models and large-scale randomized experiments (RME). DALE builds upon research from information systems, behavioral economics, operations, and marketing to build more effective tools to improve consumption efficiency and mitigate the repercussions of cyberattacks.
