The DAEDALOS project aims to improve aircraft design by developing methods to assess dynamic loads, reducing weight and enhancing safety. It seeks to replace conservative static loading approaches with more accurate dynamic analyses to optimize structural integrity during aircraft service.
Today’s design and certification procedures of aircrafts are mainly based on conservative static loading which leads to additional weight and, potentially, to a structurally unsafe aircraft.
