Cultuurcampus promotes urban development in Rotterdam South by integrating education, research, and culture. It creates a collaborative hub for diverse stakeholders to co-design learning experiences and engage in participatory research, addressing local challenges and fostering community empowerment.
Cultuurcampus pilots a new approach to city making through education, research, policy and culture at the heart of Rotterdam South, an area which is exemplary of the complex challenges and diverse potential of Europe’s most disadvantaged urban areas.
In our approach, we facilitate the coming together of different types of knowledge - theoretical, practical, from the arts and sciences - with the lived experiences of citizens.
