The CUBE project aims to advance the field of selective carbon-hydrogen activation by developing new catalysts inspired by both biological and synthetic systems. It focuses on understanding copper-containing catalysts and their mechanisms to create more efficient and selective catalytic processes.
The Holy Grail of selective C-H activation has been vigorously pursued for more than 70 years in all areas of catalysis - homogeneous, heterogeneous and biological - yet with scarce cross-fertilization.
