This project aims to enhance the control of classical swine fever by developing a live marker vaccine and accompanying diagnostic tests. It focuses on improving vaccination strategies and understanding the disease's epidemiology in domestic and wild pigs.
Although classical swine fever (CSF) has been eradicated in wide areas within the EU the disease is endemic in some new member states particularly in back yard pigs.
