The OTECHOS project develops a novel liquid tolerant Centric Reciprocating Compressor that addresses inefficiencies in wet gas compression, particularly for hydrogen production. This innovative compressor is smaller, energy-efficient, and reduces operational costs, enabling broader adoption of hydrogen technologies.
Current technologies and products in wet gas compression processes have several deficiencies, most importantly related to existing compressors´ high energy consumption, large size, intolerance to handling liquid; and consequent low energy efficiency, potential erosion, and breakdown.
